THE MUSEUM OF FAIRY TALE REMNANTS

PRODUCED WITH BAGGÅRDTEATRET

A PERFORMANCE AND EXHIBITION WITH ITS OWN ENCHANTING SOUND SETTING FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR ADULTS

Once upon a time, there was a museum – a museum of things that had
fallen
out. They had rolled, jumped, even flown out of their fairy tales.

A golden feather, the tear of an emperor, underwater flowers from a mermaid’s garden, and many other wonderful things were now waiting
to be discovered. And in fact, they’re still waiting.

Finally, the custodians are dusting them off and preparing for the museum to open its doors. Now – quite soon.

‘The Museum of Fairy Tale Remnants’ is an installation performance in which the audience is shown around in small groups by the museum’s custodians. Threads from the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm are woven into new stories, in a play upon our collective memory: A tribute to the magical world of fairy tales and their sometimes harsh reality.
